A dynamic trio co-lead by Alex, electric bassist Kevin Glasgow and drummer Eric Ford. Trio KAE are interested in evolving a personal approach to the classic tenor trio format. Using largely the music of the Great American Songbook as their vehicle, the 3 like to explore contemporary harmonic and rhythmic language and the potentials of this to create fresh angles on the common repertoire.

In October ‘22 the Trio played some shows that featured the world- renowned US guitarist John Stowell. Stowell is definitely no stranger to the less common route travelled and this was a lovely opportunity for the trio to adapt their approach to blend with John’s highly personal, and evolved musical voice. We hope to share some footage from this encounter soon.
